Julie | Portrait Session! | Maine Lifestyle Photographer!

This is Julie, an awesome lady that I met thanks to Facebook! She was interested in doing a shoot with her and her two doggies, and her husband Mike came along as pup wrangler… and he managed to sneak in a few photos, too.  🙂 We chose Fuller Farms in Scarborough (the link there is actually from Julie’s blog!), and it was gorgeous… lots of tall grass, flowers, and absolutely no one around but us. Really awesome! Julie rocked her shoot, and the dogs were surprisingly cooperative — the crazy heat may have helped with that. 😉 Also, if any of you readers are looking for a day school for your own puppies, check out Julie’s! It’s called Dances with Dogs in South Portland, Maine, and from what I can tell she is very successful, and popular among the dog world. 🙂

Erin & Jim | Married! 06.06.11 | Fort Williams Wedding | Maine Wedding Photographer

This is Erin and Jim! They were actually married in Cancun, so when Jim initially e-mailed me my heart jumped at the idea of possibly getting flown to Mexico for a destination wedding. But, alas… they still had a super gorgeous ceremony here on the coast of Maine. 😉 They knew some of their older relatives wouldn’t be able to make the trip to Cancun, so they were sweet enough to do a private ceremony just for them at Fort Williams in Cape Elizabeth. It was short and sweet, the weather was perfect, and Jim and Erin are gorgeous enough to be freakin’ MODELS. Thanks for making my life easy, you two.  😀

Kristin & Luke | Married! 06.04.11 | Bethel Inn Wedding | Maine Wedding Photographer

This is Kristin and Luke! They were married at The Bethel Inn in Bethel, Maine, and it was an absolutely PERFECT day to get married. They had several rooms rented at these condos right down the street from the inn, so they were able to get ready close by — and even had their dog, Chloe, present. 🙂 They had their ceremony right on the 18th green, and it had the most incredible mountain view. The reception took place right across the street at one of their smaller buildings, and wound up being a crazy dance party… not that I expected any different.  🙂 Kristin did a huge portion of the decoration and designing herself, and actually has recently started up her own event planning business, so check her out if you need a planner for your wedding or any other event or party!

Sue & Fred | Married! 05.27.11 | Narragansett Bay Wedding | Jamestown Wedding | Rhode Island Wedding Photographer

This is Sue and Fred! They were married at a private cottage on Narragansett Bay in Jamestown, Rhode Island. The house was absolutely perfect — beautiful on the inside, rustic on the outside, with a perfect New England feel to it. The yard was huge and perfect for mingling, and there was a wonderful view of the ocean. What more could you ask for? They had a sweet and spiritual ceremony outside in the sunshine, and we headed under a nearby tent for the reception. They had a live band playing for a majority of the night, and ALL of the guests got crazy on the dance floor. Awesome day!

Josie & Charlie | Married! 05.29.11 | Sleepy Hollow Ski Lodge Wedding | Vermont Wedding Photographer

This is Josie and Charlie. I was absolutely honored to get to spend the weekend with them and their friends & family. They were married at Sleepy Hollow Ski & Bike Center in Huntington, Vermont, and I could not recommend this place enough. Not only is it absolutely GORGEOUS, but the staff was wonderful — very warm and accommodating. Josie and Charlie had the place rented out for the entire weekend (it only has 8 rooms total) and were kind enough to have both my husband and I there for two nights. It was an amazing little mini-vacation. We’re hugely into nature, so getting to spend the morning of the wedding just walking around the property and exploring was incredible. The ceremony took place under a tent, and was short & sweet… and then the party went on well into the night. They had a live band playing, the most AMAZING wedding food I’ve ever had, and a whole buffet of desserts (including homemade pie). Fantastic. Oh, and they are Star Trek nerds just like us! Check out that Star Trek ring pillow — handmade by Charlie’s mom!

Lisa & Chris | Engaged! Applecrest Farm Orchards Engagement Shoot | New Hampshire Engagement Photographer

This is Lisa & Chris! This is Part 1 of their 2-part engagement shoot, something that I LOVE to do whenever possible. They couldn’t decide between two different looks for their engagement shoot… so we just did both, a few months apart.  🙂 It gave them more variety in their engagement photos, and it gave us more time to spend together – win-win! This first part was done at Applecrest Farm Orchards in Hampton Falls, New Hampshire – an AWESOME place. They’ve got pick-your-own apples, a ton of homemade products (including apple cider donuts!), and plenty of gorgeous spots for photos. I recommend a visit, for sure. 🙂

Erin & Gary | Married! 05.01.11 | Scarborough, Maine Wedding | Maine Wedding Photographer

This is Erin and Gary! My father-in-law has known (and worked with) Gary forever, as has my husband, so when they got engaged Erin came to me to talk about their wedding — and I was honored. They’re both very laid-back people, so their wedding followed suit. They had a simple (and gorgeous) ceremony at Pine Point Beach in Scarborough, Maine, and drove right down the street to the Clambake Restaurant for their reception — us in cars, and them in an awesome antique fire truck! Appropriate because Gary is the Deputy Chief and Erin also works for the fire station. So much fun. 🙂 It was awesome to be at a wedding where I knew so many of the guests — both my assistant, Brandon, and I knew a good deal of the people there, including my own mother- and father-in-law. Good times!

Cathy & Michael | Married! 04.23.11 | Boston, Massachusetts Wedding | Massachusetts Wedding Photographer

This is Cathy and Dave! They were married in the Public Gardens and they had their intimate reception at Ristorante Fiore, both in Boston, Massachusetts. Their dog, Sophie, was a prominent feature during the day — she kept Cathy company while she got ready, and she was their “ring girl”… so cute! The timing couldn’t have been more perfect for a Public Gardens ceremony… the tulips were in full bloom and the tree right behind where they stood and said their vows was completely abloom in purple. Gorgeous!

Rivet Adventure!

Here are some more photos of my in-laws’ dog, Rivet! We have her over to the apartment occasionally for fun, just to play with her for a while. We lay out a blanket in the yard and throw a tennis ball for her, or let her explore. This particular day she was set on putting her tennis ball in her water bowl… and then frantically splashing the water to get it out. Awesome! Then Nate played fetch with her for a while before he decided to climb a tree in the yard. Sweet.

Heather | Modeling! | Maine Fashion Photographer

This is Heather! We met through Model Mayhem and finally set up a shoot near where she lives in Windham, Maine. We found an awesome covered bridge, some beautiful woods, and of course, some excellent graffiti. She was a natural and we spent the whole shoot talking and laughing!
