Jen & Jon | Married! 06.25.11 | Portland Company Complex Wedding | Maine Wedding Photographer

This is Jen & Jon on their wedding day! I just recently posted photographs from their rehearsal dinner, which was amazing, but Saturday was the big day. Natasha and I met Jen at the Hilton Garden Inn, and Natasha got to work on Jen’s makeup. We then headed down to the water so Jen & Jon could do some First Look photos, which were awesome! If you’re considering doing them, I vote YES! They’re always extremely emotional, and it’s a fantastic time for the couple to see each other and spend a few quiet moments together before the chaos of the day. They had their ceremony on one of Portland’s Discovery Boats, which was awesome, and then headed to the Portland Company Complex for their reception. I absolutely loved the look of this place, both inside and out. Very industrial, lots of exposed brick, and just an extremely unique reception spot… very fitting for Jen & Jon’s wedding day! After the reception we headed to Bubba’s Sulky Lounge for some crazy light-up-floor dance action. 😉

Emily & Andrew | Married! 03.26.11 | Rhode Island Wedding Photographer

This is Emily and Andrew, and one of my most badass weddings from 2011. They were married at the Hope Artiste Village in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, which is just one of the coolest venues ever. It’s one of the largest mill restoration projects in Rhode Island and is home to an eclectic mix of entrepreneurs and artists alike. Plus it looks amazing inside — all industrial with exposed brick. Very cool. Emily had an awesome paper flower bouquet and a hemp dress, she walked down the aisle to Radiohead (just like me!), Andrew wore a tweed suit, they had Indian food for their reception dinner (YUM), a henna artist, an amazing Afro-Caribbean band, and just an all-around good time. Enjoy!
